Heidi Mumford-Yeo is a British actress, writer, and producer.

Scouted while she was at university, Heidi worked as a fashion model, appearing in television commercials and London Fashion Week before traning as an actress in London.

She is known for inhabiting complex internal landscapes and enigmatic roles requiring subtlety and precision.

As a screenwriter and story architect, Heidi develops original narratives centred on female agency, legacy, and moral complexity. Her work often reclaims women from the margins of history or explores characters caught in silence, shame, or social expectation. She gravitates toward themes of justice, memory, and quiet rebellion.

In early 2019, Heidi created & wrote her debut television drama series, Tell Me Why, which was optioned in 2021 by Beyond Entertainment. Now a feature film, Tell Me Why is in pre-production with Goldspin Films with BAFTA and EMMY nominated director, Ursula Macfarlane attached.

Heidi is also working on a television drama series, Damaged, based on the best-selling book by author and compaigner, Chris Wild. She is currently developing several screen projects, including literary adaptations and original series.

Acting-wise, she has worked in the West End, with lead roles in independent feature films, shorts, and television commercials. One feature film, 'Porichoi,'’ required her to learn part of the script in Bengali alongside Indian superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee.

“In both acting and writing, I like challenges and inverting stereotypes. In any creative process, I’m drawn to characters who can’t be pigeonholed — outliers, I suppose you could say. I fight against preconceptions and reductivism in general. I don’t look at people as absolutes. I think that’s dangerous and incredibly limiting.”

In 2022, Heidi received her Masters degree from Cambridge University. She also holds a degree in Law from Durham University.

Heidi lives in London with her husband & two dogs, Indiana Jones and Freddy.

She is a full member of the Writers Guild of Great Britain, Women in TV & Film & Equity.
